The recommended weir location is located in Peonea Village, Mori District Above Poso Regency. Determination of the location is done by walking along the river in the Bt river basin. Koro laa. Field surveys were conducted to find out the location which has the potential to be carried out the construction of the Power Plant Mini Hydro Power (PLTA). To determine the height difference (Head) then it is done measurements with a water pass from the weir plan to the final discharge plan water from the power house (Tail Race).

Research on the potential of the Rumuku hydropower plant :

The project location is about 180 km from the city of Poso with a time of ± 6 hours travel using four-wheeled vehicles. While the distance of the capital city the district headed for the project location around 11 km and can be traveled by vehicle.

The Romuku PLTA will be operated with a Run off River (ROR) pattern, that is direct flow pattern so that by using this operating pattern the hydropower will be able to operates 24 hours a day for 350 days or 8,400 hours a year.

Economic and social contributions

The economic and social contribution of hydropower has a positive impact on the country,

economy and community around hydropower. Influence on the economy will

seen from the local, regional and national side. This project affects at least things :

  • The effect of hydropower on state revenues includes tax value added (VAT), income tax (PPh).

  •  Contribution of hydropower to local tax revenue and regional retribution.

  • Arikan Preserving forests

  • Reducing fuel use

  • Erap Absorbing workers during project implementation and operating hydropower

  • Contribution of PLTA to saving foreign exchange imports.

  • General multiplying effect services that can be enjoyed by the community.

  • Contribution of hydropower production to other projects in the input-output relationship electrical energy, as well as the benefits of the project to reduce dependence on import (eg procurement of generators by industry, offices, private sector etc.).
